2020 Austin Meadows World Series Tampa Bay Rays Signed Game Used Fielder's Glove (Photo-Matched)
Presented is an Austin Meadows signed and inscribed game used Rawlings custom glove that was used during the 2020 season when the outfielder played for the American League Champion Tampa Bay Rays. Meadows batted .205 and hit four home runs during the 2020 Covid Pandemic-shortened 60-game season. For his five-year Major League career, playing with Pittsburgh, Tampa Bay and Detroit, Meadows is batting .259 with 70 home runs. The 12.75" Rawlings glove (for a left-handed thrower) is a "Model PRO 442 - JNPRO fielder's glove For the PROFESSIONAL player." The glove is signed and inscribed by Meadows in silver ink from a marker on the front index finger. Next to his signature, Meadows has inscribed "17 Game Used." The glove has an "MLB" patch on the front pinky finger. Embroidered, in beautiful "Tampa Bay Blue" on the glove is "THE GOLD GLOVE" on the front pinky finger, "Rawlings" on the front index finger, and "Meadows" on the front thumb. The laces on the glove are also in blue to match the blue in Tampa Bay's uniforms. The glove has been matched to: 9/5 (1270904813), 9/11 (1272152615). The glove has been photo style matched to: 10/6 ALDS Game 2 (1278867268), 10/7 ALDS Game 3 (1279064309), 10/9 ALDS Game 5 (1228985386), 10/15 ALCS Game 5 (1280413158). YouTube video of Game 1 of the World Series shows Meadows coming in to field in the bottom of the 7th, wearing this style glove. In the World Series, he played the outfield for 7 innings total after coming in as a pinch hitter in each game. We believe the glove was worn in the World Series. The glove shows light use, and it is in excellent condition. The black glove and the added blue segments make for a glove with superb eye appeal. The glove makes a great conversation starter as a remembrance of Tampa Bay's 2020 American League pennant winning team.
