4 Presidential Signed Books with 2 Richard Nixon
This lot contains four books authored and inscribed by three different American presidents. First is "The Challenge to Liberty" by Herbert Hoover, published in 1934 by Charles Scribner's Sons and inscribed, "To Bishop James Wise, With the good wishes of Herbert Hoover." This 212-page book lacks a dust jacket but otherwise is completely intact. Next is "Memoirs by Harry S. Truman Years of Trial and Hope 1946-1952," published in 1955 by Doubleday and inscribed "To Jimmie Hollinger from Harry Truman 3/28/58." Aside from some small tears in the dust jacket, this 596-page book is in excellent condition. Last are two books by Richard M. Nixon: "Six Crises," containing 460 pages, published in 1962 by Doubleday and inscribed, "Best wishes To Dr. J. Finlay Ramsey from Richard Nixon 8/10/'62"; and "Leaders," 371 pages in length, published in 1982 by Warner Books and inscribed, "To Major Fred A. Treys III With best wishes from Richard Nixon 7-11-83." Both of the Nixon books have plastic-coated dust jackets and are in excellent condition.
