913 WG5 National Baseball Game Near-Complete Set w/Original Box and Flyer (51/52)
Near-complete set of fifty-one 1913 "National Game" cards, plus the score card and rules card, for a total of fifty-three cards. Missing only the Joe Jackson card for completion. (The Joe Jackson card from this set is being offered separately in this auction.) Also included are the original box (PR-FR, with an area of paper loss on one side and a detached flap) and the instruction sheet (VG). Of the fifty-two game cards in the original set, forty-three picture individual players, while the remaining nine feature "action" photos. This set, which is identical to the "Tom Barker Baseball" card set except for the back design and color (red) has always been popular with collectors because of the abundance of star cards, including twenty-three Hall of Famers.
