936 V355 World Wide Gum #51 Joe DiMaggio Signed - Only PSA Graded Example! PSA VG 3 - Auto 9
<p>In the world of Joe DiMaggio signed baseball cards, none is rarer than the offered example: a 1936 V355 World Wide Gum #51 Joe DiMaggio Rookie, beautifully signed by DiMaggio on the front in blue Sharpie near the base. The placement of the signature is also perfect in terms of visual appeal, as it obscures neither DiMaggio's face nor the name box along the bottom border. PSA has encapsulated the card, grading the signature MINT 9 and the card VG 3. This is the ONLY signed example of this particular card we have ever seen and it is the ONLY signed example listed in the PSA Population Report. DiMaggio's 1936 V355 World Wide Gum card represents his Major League rookie card and has always been highly sought after by collectors. The set itself is scarce and unusual, as it was a Canadian Goudey issue, and features player poses found in no other sets. It must be noted that the DiMaggio signature notwithstanding, this is an exceptional high-grade example of this classic card. That fact becomes apparent when one examines the entire PSA Population Report for this card and learns that only SIX examples have ever been graded higher.
