One of Brooklyn’s most beloved hurlers appears posing and in portrait against a radiant yellow background on the face of this 1955 Topps #123 which has been graded and encapsulated NM-MT 8 by PSA. Sandy’s likeness and facsimile signature are surrounded by four white and well-balanced borders while equally appealing multi-colored ink text and illustrations fill the backside. Of the 9,595 Sandy Koufax rookies graded at the time of this auction, only 44 have been graded higher than the example presented here.
