982 Wrestling All Stars Series A and B Collection w/Andre and Hogan (41)
<p>Offered is a chance for a pro wrestling fan to obtain wrestling trading cards that provide a nostalgic trip in time. Published by <em>The Wrestling News </em>in 1982, the 41 cards measure 2.65x3.65" and comprise 39 different cards, with two repeats. The star cards of the lot are those of Hulk Hogan (1) and Andre the Giant (1). Hogan is a wrestling superstar who headlined eight of the nine Wrestlemania shows of the 1980s. Wrestling historian and journalist Dave Meltzer said of Hogan, "You can't overstate his significance.... And he sold more tickets to wrestling shows than any man who ever lived." Andre the Giant was a rival to Hogan, and Andre was listed as 7' 6" and over 400 pounds. Each of the 41 cards has a photo on the front and a brief bio on the reverse. Also included is a card for Ernie Ladd (1) and another for Wahoo McDaniel (1), both also professional football players. And the women aren't left out, as there is a card for Joyce Graham (1) and for The Fabulous Moolah (1).
