9th Annual All Star Game Program

9th Annual All Star Game Program

Rare or "roar" program from Detroit in 1941 shows a huge tiger stepping into Briggs Stadium. The All-Star Game was played at Briggs Stadium, home of the Detroit Tigers, in 1941; this was the ninth edition of the mid-summer classic between the all-stars of the American League (like Lou Gehrig) and all-stars of the National League (like Mickey Owen) and the American League defeated the National League 7-5. This program has some wear on the spine and a light crease in the lower right corner. The peach-colored cover has light wear with minuscule wrinkles. Unscored program reads: "9th Annual All-Star Game Official Souvenir Program American League vs. National League, July 8th 1941 - At Detroit."
