9/9/16 David Ortiz Signed Game Worn Red Sox Jersey - Final Season (MLB Auth. & Photo-Matched)
Big Papi left a big hole in the middle of the Boston lineup, as well as in the hearts of Red Sox nation after his retirement. This David Ortiz signed, game-worn Bosox jersey comes from the slugger's final season of 2016, and was one of the last jerseys the 10-time All-Star ever donned, on Sept. 9 in a road game at Toronto. Before the game started, the Blue Jays honored Ortiz and gifted him a Canada Goose jacket. This is a very common practice for teams to honor future Hall of Famers with gifts on their "Farewell Tour." The navy alternate jersey is photo-matched, signed and inscribed on the back: "Game Used, 9/9/16, 2-5, Final Season." There is size tagging on the front tail and an MLB hologram.
