Drama appeared to surround Lita Gray Chaplin, ex-wife of Charlie Chaplin. In this fascinating collection of (15) news service photographs, the ex-Mrs. Chaplin is shown from 1927 to 1956 among other things: in court to ask permission for her sons to be in the movies; getting (or almost getting) married; in the aftermath of a kidnapping in which she lost $14,000 in jewels and cash. Many of the photos have their original caption sheets attached or on the verso. The condition of the lot ranges from VG to MT, with most on the better end. Sized from 5x6" to 8x10".
