AFL Football Coach Lou Saban Photographs from SFX Archives (16)
Lou Saban may have begun his football career as a linebacker for the Cleveland Browns, but it was his stint as head coach for the Buffalo Bills that he is noted for. This collection of high quality wire photographs are primarily (80%) 8 x 10” images with a couple of 7 x 9” and few smaller odd sizes which are in EX condition. They are devoid of wrinkles and creases, the color quality is sharp and vibrant and the edges are clean. The collection spans from the mid 1950’s during his time as head coach at Northwestern and continue through the mid 1960’s when he directed the Bills to 2 consecutive AFL championships. Some of the images have the original news clippings attached to the verso.
