Al Barlick Single Signed Baseball

Al Barlick Single Signed Baseball

This baseball features the signature of one of the most famous umpires in the history of baseball, Al Barlick. Signed right on the sweet spot of this Giamatti Official National League Ball in vivid blue ink, Barlick underlined both his first and last name and included quotation marks around his first name - "Al" as part of this 9/10 piece. In his Hall of Fame career, Barlick is best known for being the first base umpire standing directly behind Brooklyn Dodgers first baseman Jackie Robinson when Robinson broke baseball’s color barrier on April 15, 1947. Barlick also called six no-hitters, as well as the first games at Los Angeles’ Dodger Stadium, Houston’s Astrodome and Pittsburgh’s Three Rivers Stadium. PSA.
