This dramatic and famous portrait of Albert Einstein with highlights and shadows, magnificent clarity and rich texture could only be achieved by the artistry of Photographer, Yousuf Karsh. The most prominent portrait photographer of the 20th century, captures the spirit of Einstein, arguably, the most important subject Karsh ever photographed. Karsh came to international fame with a 1941 <i>Life</i> cover, the "English bulldog" portrait of Winston Churchill. He then pictured from every field, world-wide political arena, the arts and sciences during his lifetime. Silver gelatin print is vintage from 1948 and has his stamp and copyright, on verso, from the Ottawa, Canada Studio he worked from. Photograph is in the original frame and condition is EX+. Overall measurements are 18.5x16”.
