Alex English Game Worn Denver Nuggets Jersey And Shorts
During the 1980’s, NBA Hall of Famer Alex English was unstoppable. He played his early years with the Milwaukee Bucks and the Indiana Pacers but it wasn’t until he went to the Denver Nuggets that he exploded into a monstrous scoring machine, averaging over 20 points a game for 10 straight seasons. While he was in Denver, the Nuggets uniform was the most popular in the NBA, and his was the most popular of all. Jersey is white with green trim. Front has his number “2” on the upper left chest above the legendary multi-colored Colorado skyline. Below that, “Nuggets” in bright yellow with black trim. Collar tag “Powers Mfg. Co. Size 46.” Reverse has “English” sewn on above his number “2” in the middle of the rainbow colors of Denver. Shorts are white with green trim and “Denver” patch on lower right in gold with black trim. Inside tag “Powers Size 34” with “2” in black marker also on the tag. One of the most unique American professional sports jerseys ever, and still treasured.
