Alex Rodriguez Professional Model Rawlings Glove

Alex Rodriguez Professional Model Rawlings Glove

<p>Presented is a black Rawlings Alex Rodriguez Professional model (PRORV23) infielder's glove. Primarily known for his batting prowess, Rodriguez hit 696 homers and batted .295 lifetime. He was a 3-time AL MVP, a 10-time Silver Slugger Award winner, a 14-time All-Star and the 1996 AL batting champion. He played in the Major Leagues for 22 seasons: (1994-2000)-Seattle Mariners; (2001-02)-Texas Rangers; (2004-13 &amp; 15-16)-New York Yankees. Less talked about than his batting was A-Rod's fielding prowess. A shortstop while with Seattle and Texas, Alex was a 2-time Gold Glove winner at the position, in 2002-03. When he went to the Yankees, Rodriguez switched to third base to allow Derek Jeter to stay at shortstop. The offered glove has A-Rod sewn on the thumb in black. The black thread makes the sewn-on nickname black-on-black, so it is hard to see. The glove is not a retail model, and it does show use. Overall, the glove is in excellent condition, with most of the use shown in the pocket. Stamped on the pinky finger of the glove is its size (12.25"), "For the Professional Player," and PRORV23." The back of the pinky finger has a "The Gold Glove Co" tag. The glove has both a Rawlings tag and a Rawlings logo tag, both sewn on. This glove may have been used by A-Rod, but we cannot confirm that, so we are selling it just as a Pro Model.</p>
