Ali-Quarry I On Site Boxing Poster
On October 26, 1970, at City Auditorium in Atlanta, Georgia heavyweight Muhammad Ali made his comeback after a three year enforced retirement due to his refusal to accept military service. His opponent was the capable Jerry Quarry. Ali scored a third round victory when the referee stopped the fight due to a severe cut on Quarry's face. Offered is an original, on site poster for this event. This paper poster features LeRoy Neiman depictions of the fighters, with bold color and print. Not creased or torn and with no tack holes, there is slight toning of the paper from aging and very minor corner wear. One of the nicest examples of this scarce poster we have offered and it is original, not a repro, measuring 14x 22."
