Ali-Quarry I On-Site Poster
On October 26, 1970, at City Auditorium in Atlanta, Georgia, Muhammad Ali made his comeback after a three-year enforced retirement due to his refusal to accept military service, and his opponent was the capable Jerry Quarry. Ali scored a third-round victory when the referee stopped the fight due to a severe cut on Quarry's face. Offered here is an original, on-site poster for this event. This paper poster has LeRoy Neiman depictions of the fighters with bold color and print and bold, clear images. Clean front and back, not creased or torn and no tack holes. There is slight toning of the paper from age and very minor corner wear. One of the better examples of this scarce poster we have offered, it measures 14x22".
