Amazing 1940s Sportsman's Park Oversized Vintage Baseball Stadium Photograph
This spectacular doubleweight matte finish Type I photograph is unlike anything we have seen before. It depicts Sportsman's Park in St. Louis at the peak of its prowess, hosting both the St. Louis Browns and Cardinals. Some of the delectable detail includes a sign reading, "Official Score Cards Sold Only Inside the Ball Park Price 10 cents." Measuring a grand 14.5x12.5", this is simply stunning as images that show this side of the world of these ballparks are extremely rare and hence tremendously desired. The best one of its kind that we have ever seen, this originates from the collection of Gus LeDonne, a legendary football and sports collector who passed away too soon in 2013. A top of the line buyer, Gus bought the best of the best in the early days of our hobby.
