Amazing Find of Actresses Cabinet Photos with Salesman's Samples & Newsboy's (110+)
Stunning collection of the earliest, softest core "pornography" of sorts. These 19th century cabinet photographs are by the top photography houses of the era. Almost all are female stars, all of them from stage and vaudeville. There are 110+ delightful Newsboy cabinets (51), by Sarony (14), Falk (18), Morrison (8) and 44 others by such luminaries as Notman, Chickering and more. Contrast is perfect, condition is excellent. Discovered in the San Francisco area along with salesman's sample cabinet photo books but they had big punch holes in each (sorry no baseball). Two of the Lillian Russell's here have salesman books numbering on the front (they are skinned btw). One of the truly undervalued areas of the hobby.
