Amazing Photo Collection from 1964 Shea Stadium Opening (49)

It just doesn't get any beter than this! Forty-nine snapshots (3.5x5") taken by a local Queens resident and original Mets fan during April 1964. Images of the final days of costruction and Opening Day (April 17th against the Bucs) include photos of the first Mets hit inside the new park (Tim Harkness), the first homerun (Stargell), the "first sign" banner ever hung, the original Mr. Met, and the Willets Point Stop subway stop that New Yorker's know so well. All are of exceptional quality and grade as EX-MT+-NRMT.
