Wow! This is an incredible varied lot of more than 75 different pieces of American memorabilia dating from the late 19th century and continuing through the latter half of the 20th century. On top of this included with this lot are hundreds of Florida postcards, some mailed and postmarked, others blank, dating primarily from the 1940's and 1950's. The postcards themselves are quite incredible with beautiful illustrations in rich and vibrant colors, epitomizing Florida as the ideal resort destination. There are several early and mid 20th century issues of the National Theatre's Playbill, as well as playbills from other D.C and New York theatres, there is even one from 1946 from the Lisner Auditorium at George Washington University that features the legendary Ingrid Bergman on the cover as the star of the production "Joan of Lorraine." There is even an 1876 Official visitor's guide to the cenntenial celebration in Philadelphia. Other interesting articles in thi lot include a Desert Storm Pamphlet for Iraqi POWs, an 8 x 10 wire photo of Pope John Paul II visiting his parent's grave, several early issues of Time magazine, an 1868 issue of the Norwich Weekly Courier, an 8 X 10" Inaugural parade photo of Ronald and Nancy Reagan and more than a dozen 11 x14 photographs of U.S. Military aviation excercises, several of which have stunning compositions. This lot is a veritable treasure trove of historic American memorabila guaranteed to provide weeks of entertainment perusing through the entire collection.
