Apollo 11
It was the first step towards that "one small step for man." This is NASA's press photo of the liftoff of Apollo 11, the first space mission to land on the moon in July 1969. This copy was reissued by NASA on June 30, 1974, to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the mission, as noted on the back of the photo.
