"Art Studies" Pinup Coin Operated Exhibit Card Machine
Here's a classic coin-operated card machine from the late 1940s, entitled "Art Studies" made by the "Criss Cross Card Machine manufactured by Caldex Mfg. Amityville, N.C." The "Art Studies" in the display window, are nude hand-colored glamour girls from the 1920s which may or may not be original to the piece. This is a great looking coin-op, with a hand crank and a coin deposit slot for "nickels only." The price for the cards is two for five cents. The "Art Studies" machine is in working condition, has 99% of its original paint and is in great EX+ condition. On each side is a vintage art deco sticker of a glamour girl, which is a familiar pin-up Esquire image from the 1930s. The machine is made of metal with a glass front, and a chrome base. It measures 43" the base 15" diameter and the coin op box is 8.5x12". Working, it comes with two original keys.
