Assorted Player Street Sign Collection (8) - DiMaggio, Aaron, Williams & Maris

Assorted Player Street Sign Collection (8) - DiMaggio, Aaron, Williams & Maris

One of the many post-career honors shared by Ted Williams, Joe DiMaggio, Hank Aaron, and Roger Maris is that of having a street named after them. Offered here is a collection of eight street signs issued by the city of El Paso, Texas, to so honor those four baseball luminaries. Each of these large, green metallic signs was used by the city for years before being replaced with newer examples. As such, all display wear commensurate with that use, including scratches, nicks, and surface blemishes. Each player is represented by two signs, with both of the Maris and DiMaggio signs having been removed from a crossroad, as each displays another street name on the reverse. The Williams and Aaron signs are lettered only on one side. Each sign measures 36x6" and bears a screw hole at either end for attachment to a street post. This is an outstanding collection of player street signs that would be perfect for display in either home or office. Please note: the size and/or weight of this lot will necessitate an increased shipping charge.
