Autobiography of Knute Rockne Notre Dame Edition Signed by 34 Players
Renowned as one of college football‚s greatest coaches, Knute Rockne revealed much of his life‚s experience in this autobiography published by the Bobbs-Merrill Company in 1931. The Notre Dame edition is numbered #448 of 2,400 and was signed by Bonnie S. Rockne and John Cavanaugh, along with a facsimile signature from the Fighting Irish legend himself. Several other signatures of note are evident here, specifically 31 Notre Dame players including Joe Kurth, Jack Robinson and captain Paul Host, and dated December 10, 1932, a day that saw the Irish lose to USC. The back cover is stained, there is some water damage evident inside the pages and the outside spine is worn and has some discoloration.The following items are from a private collection of a long-time Notre Dame football fanatic. The quality of this collection is the finest that we have seen.It has taken a half century to procure these items and now is the first time that some of them have seen the light of day.
