Automobile Accidents 1930's to 1970's (200+ images)
This collection is an encyclopedia of bad driving as well as a history of the automobile in America. If you can imagine it happening to a car then it's in at least one of these photographs. Flaming gas trucks, wrecked school buses, chickens on the highway, and oddly enough several accidents involving trucks carrying tomatoes. We see cars submerged in water, on the roof of a house, in the lobby of a building, incinerated, hit by a train, sitting on a fire hydrant, nose planted, wrapped around trees and telephone poles, upside down, sideway, wrecked, burnt and otherwise completely destroyed. It seems that every make and model of car is seen in this collection from Beetles to Buicks and they’re all in need of some help. The photos vary in size but are mostly 8.5”x11” and many have press clippings on the back that will in some way explain what happened in the accident. Great stuff! EX+.
