Aviator Albert Hegenberger Photographs (57)
Historic wire photo collection (57) of aviator Albert Hegenberger. Mr. Hegenberger, an MIT grad, set a flight distance record in 1927 by flying 2400 miles from California to Hawaii. Photos range from 3" x 7" to 8 1/2" x 11" and are in various conditions ranging from GD-NRMT. One of the marquee photos (in EX condition) shows Hegenberger shaking hands with President Franklin Delano Roosevelt as he is presented the Collier Trophy in 1935 for his contributions to "blind flying" and "blind landing".
