Aviatrix Marvel Crosson Photographs (22)

Aviatrix Marvel Crosson Photographs (22)

In 1929, just a few short months after breaking the women's altitude record, young San Diego aviatrix, Marvel Crosson, died when her plane crashed in the Arizona desert during an air derby. Fantastic collection of (22) news service photographs, all dated from 1929, with original caption sheets affixed. Images show Crosson in her flight suit and in her plane as well as images of the fatal crash site. Sized from 4x6 to 6x12, the photos range in condition from VG to MT. Fascinating.
