Babe Ruth & Lou Gehrig Signed Guitar
The two Yanks that made such sweet music together have both signed this vintage “C.F. Martin & Co.” guitar. Positioned perpendicular to one another, amongst a score of other signings by stage, screen, and radio personalities, their blue ink autographs are the most distinguishable and desirable of the group. And, though they are lightly faded both still exhibit nice form grading a “6” out of possible “10”. The VG-EX condition of the instrument, which comes in its original velvet lined case, is far outweighed by the rarity of such a remarkable item. Once part of the Barry Halper collection, it also comes with photo documentation of Ruth and Gehrig signing.
