Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig Signed Baseball

Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig Signed Baseball

Baseball's most celebrated Odd Couple may not have liked each other very much, but together they were the heart and soul of the Yankees' Murderer's Row batting order of the '20s and '30s. Similarly, the waddling, loquacious Ruth and the sculpted, silent Gehrig created a perfect alchemy on any ball that they signed, imbuing it with a near metaphysical quality that exponentially increases the value of a ball signed singly by either man. Case in point: this beautiful official International League baseball signed by the Bambino and the Iron Horse in black ink. The signatures are large and clear with Gehrig signing just below “The Babe”. Ruth’s signature rates an “8” out of a possible 10 while Gehrig’s rates an “8.5” out of a 10. Ball is white, clean and majectic. We've only seen one other ball dually signed by the two Yankee gods, and its condition was not nearly as good as this heaven-sent piece of memorabilia.
