Babe Ruth Batting Glass Plate Negative
The Great Bambino is shown in nice profile in this glass plate negative dating to the early 1920s. Babe Ruth is shown at the batting cage, body weight leaning forward in the aftermath of his trademark swing. Measuring 5x7", this negative can be used to create sharp reproductions of this century-old image. Some image loss at bottom edge, not uncommon for negatives of this kind. Comes from the archives of Brown Brothers, the photo collection service that stood for over a century.
