Original glass plate negative capturing Babe Ruth sitting in the stands during a baseball game. The nattily attired Ruth is the center of attention, as he shakes the hand of a gentleman, while a group of men crowd around him. This is an unusual photo because it pictures Ruth sitting in the mezzanine level. Normally, whenever Ruth attended a game, he was a guest of honor and sat in the front row, field level. No year or venue is listed, so we can only speculate on the occasion of this image. The negative (5x4") displays minor emulsion loss along the borders and is otherwise in Excellent condition. Accompanied by a small positive photo of the image printed on paper.
