Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig Signed Baseball
This vintage official American League baseball was signed by baseball’s two most legendary superstars, Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig -- making it one of the very few such extant balls (perhaps the most sought after single pieces of memorabilia known to mankind) floating around outside of the Smithsonian. Ruth’s signature is on the sweet spot and is in large, blue ink. Gehrig’s signed the ball in blue ink on the same panel as Ruth. The ball shows some aging and has a small mounting pinhole on the side that does not affect the signatures. “The Sultan of Swat’s” autograph rates a “3” out of a possible 10 while “The Iron Horse’s” autograph is a “5” out of 10, with a small scuff on the "G".
