Two early images of the greatest two-way player ever to take the field appear side-by-side in this photograph printed 8/11/48, only a few days before the Bambino's death. Originally taken thirty years earlier, when Ruth still donned the colors of Boston. Original copy on the reverse along with "Acme Newspictures" press stamping. Exhibits some crazing to the surface, but still looks wonderful, EX.
