<p>Fun and fantastic Type I photo of icons Babe Ruth and Ty Cobb choosing sides for the 1945 Esquire All-American Boys Baseball Game at the Polo Grounds. As managers of their respective squads, the Hall of Famers are cheerfully engaged in the schoolyard ritual of going "hand-over-hand" on a bat for the right to pick first for the August 28 classic. Both are obviously well into their retirement years as the rotund Bambino jockeys with the plainclothesed Georgia Peach in this 9x7" image, which features Brown Brothers sticker and handwritten pencil description on verso. Though this picture has not been graded by PSA, we guarantee it is Type I.</p>
