Bart Giamatti & Pete Rose Dual-Signed Painted Baseball (SGC)
A fascinating ball signed by two people linked in baseball history for just a brief moment in time: Bart Giamatti and Pete Rose. Giammatti was the shortest-tenured MLB commissioner ever, but is remembered for reaching an agreement with Rose relating to his betting scandal. The truce, which permitted Rose to voluntarily withdraw from the sport, was brokered on August 24, 1989, and Giamatti died suddenly of a heart attack eight days later. The ONL ball is signed by Rose on the sweet spot and Giamatti on a panel, with Rose's signature rating 6/10 and Giamatti's 7/10. The opposite panel displays a hand-painted portrait of the pair, initialed "SB" by the artist. This unique ball is EX-MT and comes with SGC COA.
