Bart Starr Green Bay Packers Almuni Ring - Ordered Directly by the Packers
A legend of Lambeau Field is celebrated in this Bart Starr Alumni Ring. The consignor is Wisconsin-based and has provided team alumni rings to the McCaskey Family and Chicago Bears since 1987. He was contacted by John Fabry, Green Bay Packers Alumni President, in 1995 about possibly creating a ring for them as well. After consulting Green Bay Packers President/CEO Bob Harlan, our consignor was instructed to make the very first ring for team icon Bart Starr. However, once the players received their Super Bowl rings following their 1996-97 Super Bowl season, the Packers didn’t want the alumni rings to diminish the accomplishments of that championship team, so the Alumni ring project was shelved. This splendid size 11 ring is 10K gold and the bezel reads "GREEN BAY PACKERS ALUMNI" with the team’s founding year, "1919" below that. The iconic Green Bay Packers “G” logo (filled with 17 man made White Sapphires) is mounted over a green stone. One shank is custom-engraved with Starr’s name, number and position, while the other (team tribute side) includes founder Curly Lambeau’s name and image profile deep engraved, with an image of Lambeau Field in the background. Comes in its splendid original custom black display case with the Green Bay Packers "G" logo on the outside and a personalized plate on the inside, including the Packers logo and Bart Starr’s name and uniform number.
