This lot features 217 notable baseball players, including Hall of Famers Mel Ott, "Sunny Jim" Bottomley, Walter "Rabbit" Maranville, Charlie Gehringer and Bill Klem. There are also 81 football players, including Hall of Famer George Musso. The colorful cards, complete with flint at the tips and player photos & info blurbs, were produced in the mid-1930s by the Diamond Match Company and many are encased in plastic.
