Baseball Commissioner Angelo Bartlett Giamatti "SENIOR SECRET SOCIETY" Sterling Silver Presentation Bowl
Spectacular trophy bowl with 3.1 pounds of sterling silver. 10 1/2 " in diameter. It was presented to Bart Giamatti and his wife by the Senior Secret Society he was tapped to join as a Junior at Yale University. Known as the "Scroll & Key", it is marked International Sterling & Sports, their raised logo. Names of his fellow members line the bottom. Dated June 18, 1960, which is likely the date he joined and the day of the Harvard-Yale Regatta, though this was presented to him later. Famed Scroll and Key members include Cole Porter, Cyrus Vance, Dr. Spock, and Mayor Lindsay.
