Baseball Superstar Game Used Bat Collection from MLB Bat Boy (16)

Baseball Superstar Game Used Bat Collection from MLB Bat Boy (16)

This collection of 15 game used bats and one team-signed bat has the special provenance of originating from a former San Francisco Giants bat boy. He obtained the bats easily at the time because all are cracked and were therefore no longer serviceable to the respective players. He was also fortunate to obtain the player's signature on many of the bats. All the bats, which date from the late 1990s and early 2000s, display excellent game use and are cracked (some of the cracks are severe). If the team affiliation is stamped on the bat, it will be noted in our listing. Most feature the player's uniform number on the knob and/or barrel head. Javy Lopez. Louisville Slugger model "I13L." Atlanta Braves. Number "8" on knob and barrel head. 34", 33 oz. Mark Grudzielanek. Louisville Slugger model "069." Los Angeles Dodgers. Number "8" on barrel head. This is only half the bat. The bat cracked in two and most of the handle is no longer present. 30", 28.5 oz. Adrian Beltre. Rawlings model "155B." 2003 date code. Number "29" on knob and barrel head. Severely cracked. 34.5", 30.5 oz. Gary Disarcina. Hoosier Bat Co. model "HB235." Number "9" and "17" on the knob, and "17" on the barrel head. Disarcina wore number "9" with the Angels from 1997-2000, but he never wore "17," indicating possible dual-player use. 34", 32 oz. Brad Fullmer. Louisville Slugger model "H238." Montreal Expos. Number "20" on the knob and barrel head. Signed "Brad Fullmer 20" in silver paint pen (10/10) on the barrel. 33.75", 32 oz. Gary Mathews Jr. Hoosier Bat Co. model "HB235." Number "12" on the knob. Signed "Gary Mathews #13 T" in silver paint pen (9/10) on the barrel. Mathews wore "13" with the Padres in 2003, but he never wore "12," indicating possible dual-player use. 34", 31.5 oz. Gary Sheffield. Rawlings model "170B." 2003 date code. Number "11" on the knob. 34.5", 34.5 oz. Javier Vazquez. Louisville Slugger model "H238." Montreal Expos. Number "23" on knob. Signed "Javier Vazquez 23" in black Sharpie (9/10) on the barrel. 35", 32.5 oz. Curt Schilling. Rawlings model number "513B." 2002 date code. Arizona Diamondbacks. Number "38" on knob and barrel head. 34", 32.75 oz. Richie Sexson. Louisville Slugger model "M110." Cleveland Indians. Number "44" on knob and barrel head. Also number "11" on knob. Signed "Richie Sexson #11" in silver paint pen (8/10) on the barrel. Sexson wore number "44" with the Indians from 1997-2000. In the middle of the 2000 season he was traded from Cleveland to Milwaukee, where he wore number "11." Obviously, he took this bat with him when he was traded, which explains the dual numbers on the knob and also conclusively dates the bat to the 2000 season. 34", 30.75 oz. Livan Hernandez. Young Bat Co. model "012LH." Florida Marlins. Number "61" on knob. Signed "Livan Hernandez 61" in silver paint pen (8/10) on the barrel. 34", 32.5 oz. Jason Kendall. Louisville Slugger model "H238." Pittsburgh Pirates. Number "18" on knob and barrel head. Signed by Kendall in black Sharpie (9/10) on the barrel. 33.5, 31 oz. Troy Glaus. Louisville Slugger model "C271." Anaheim Angels. Number "25" on knob. Signed by Glaus in black Sharpie (9/10) on the barrel. The bat has broken into two pieces, but both halves are present. Approximately 36", 33 oz. Lee Stevens. Louisville Slugger model "P72." Montreal Expos. Number "9" on knob and barrel. 34.5", 32.75 oz. Mark Grace. Rawlings model "256B." 2001 date code. Arizona Diamondbacks. Number "17" on knob and barrel. Signed by Grace in black Sharpie (10/10) on the barrel. 34", 32 oz. 2000 Pittsburgh Pirates Team-Signed Bat. Thirteen black-Sharpie signatures (averaging 9/10) on a broken Sam Bat model "KB1." Includes Kendall, Osik, Brown, Ramirez, Arroyo, and Williams. The bat is broken and is missing the lower half of the handle.
