Baseball Used in Pete Rose's Final Major League Game (PSA/DNA)

Baseball Used in Pete Rose's Final Major League Game (PSA/DNA)

Before his career and his legacy were thrust into turmoil, Pete Rose seemed assured of his place in the pantheon of baseball elites. This Official National League (White) baseball shows nice use and comes from Charlie Hustle's last game; it was fouled into the stands at Wrigley Field by Jeff Reed and caught by a lucky fan, who kept the ball and has written the circumstances down in a letter that accompanies this lot. This was the final game that Rose managed before he was banned for life from baseball, and the ball was later signed and dated by Rose on the sweet spot, "Pete Rose Aug. 21 1989," which would be a very historic but sad day in baseball history. Comes with full PSA/DNA LOA.
