Battling Nelson Beats The Kaiser WWI Signed Photograph
A smashing signed photo of the great Battling Nelson punching an effigy of the Kaiser for U.S. troops during World War I. Signed "To My Old Pal Dick Cox, Compliments Battling Nelson Mayor Hedwisch Ill Washington D.C. Feb 13, 1918." The photo measures 9 3/8" x 7 1/8" and is beautifully framed & matted to 19.5" x 17.5". Battling Nelson was a Danish boxer whose real name was Oscar Nielsen. He was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1992.
