Beautiful Walter Johnson Photograph
Superb image of Hall of Famer walter Johnson in the later stages of his remarkable 21-year career with the Washington Senators. Measuring 6x8", this photo was taken during the 1920s but printed in the '30s, which classifies it as a Type II. The Big Train is crispy shown despite being somewhat awkwardly posed simulating the moment before his release; some light creases and tape used for reinforcement on the back, along with pencil notations and multiple stamps presenting this as from the Brown Brothers massive photo collection.
