Bernie Madoff Original Birth Certificate
The first official document in the life of convicted fraud perpetrator Bernie Madoff is his official birth certificate - not a copy but the genuine article! The man who admitted to operating the largest ponzi scheme in American history, bilking thousands of investors out of approximately 65-billion dollars over several decades. Original to the period, the 10.5" x 8.5" certificate issued on April 29, 1938 by the Beth Israel Medical Centre includes footprints, mother's finger and Jewish star. There are folds, creases, edge wear and a small tear. On June 29, 2009, Madoff was sentenced to 150 years in prison, the maximum allowed.
