Bill Bradley Game Used Jersey
Three decades ago, this very special Knicks road jersey lived "on the run," taken by its owner on journeys far and wide across hardwood floors from Boston to L.A. Life on the run, of course, is how Bill Bradley described a typical NBA season, but it can also describe his own journey from college superstar at Princeton to Rhodes Scholar to the ultimate NBA role player as the "go-go" small forward on the Knicks' title teams of 1970 and '73. Unlike most jocks, that was only part of the journey, which for Dollar Bill continued as a U.S. Senator and candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2000. Still, even had he become Commander in Chief, diehard Knick fans who've endured a 30-year plus dry spell and worship those magical early-'70s teams will always see Bradely as he was then -- Converse-sneakered feet tearing back and forth along the baseline, maneuvering behind a pick, taking a pass from Clyde Frazier and canning an open 20-footer. Though Bradley never was a prolific scorer, his steadiness under fire -- such as when he led the team back from a huge deficit in Game 5 against the Lakers when Willis Reed went down -- earned him a HOF berth. The vintage nylon jersey brings it all back, man and team. "New York" across the chest and "24" on front and back in orange on white tackle twill, "Bradley" on upper back in white tackle twill. Lower front tagging is "Gerry Cosby", "Felco" [size] "44 Long" with handwritten 2", and "100% Nylon". Jersey is in EX condition with light wear and some loose threads, colors still bright. Yes!
