Selection of original artwork from Bill Canfield, who served as editorial artist for Star Ledger for 16 years. Total of 26 original pen and ink cartoon sketches measure around 10x13" with some larger and a few smaller. As a political cartoonist, his favorite subject was Richard Nixon (lot includes a newspaper article discussing this), but other subjects include: Jimmy Carter, USSR, Iran, Great Wall of China, Uncle Sam, Mass Transit, Offshore Oil and Drilling, World Trade, Jury System, Atlantic City, Congress, and more. Most have original publishers marks and/or notations.
