Bill Ward Original Drawing

Bill Ward Original Drawing

Original 7.5 x 10.75" pen and ink drawing by Bill Ward, the cartoon artist famous for the lusty and very well-endowed females that appeared in Army magazines and later Cracked and Humorama's Laugh Digest, which blended cheesecake photos and bawdy cartoons. This racy but tasteful Ward sketch ran in the latter's Feb. 1964 issue inside the back cover, depicting a ship captain flipping his lid seeing a busty blonde stowaway. Sketch on cardboard has Humoroama stamping and editorial notes on the back along with the caption written in ink perhaps by Ward himself. VG-EX w/mild foxing that framing would hide. Comes with the Laugh Digest the cartoon appeared in -- not a bad collectible in itself.
