Bob Gibson 250th Win Game Worn Jersey
This all-important St. Louis Cardinals road jersey was worn by Hall of Famer, Bob Gibson during the twilight of his career. A monumental piece of game-used equipment from the Cardinals’ all-time greatest pitcher. Worn for the game in which he recorded his 250th career win. As outlined in the included LOA from St. Louis Cardinals trainer, this was the road jersey which Gibson wore throughout that final season of 1975, including the game for which he got his 250th win in Montreal. The jersey was given to him by “Gibby” at the end of the season. This is most certainly the one Gibson wore while he hurled his 250th win at Montreal. He would of course retire with 251 wins as the all time winningest pitcher in Cardinals history. Gray pullover style jersey adorned with red, white & navy trim around the collar and the sleeves. “Cardinals” embroidered across the chest with two Cardinals perched on yellow bat logo stitched in the same style. “45” sewn below the breast in red on navy tackle twill. A slightly faded vintage signature in black sharpie sits below the right breast. “Gibson 45” fills the back. Jersey shows nice use with some bleeding of the red dye into the gray part of the jersey from repeated washing. Tagging on the inside front tail is “Rawlings” with a “set 1 #8P 1975” flag tag.
