Boston Braves Team Signed Baseballs (4)

Boston Braves Team Signed Baseballs (4)

From 1871 to 1953, the Boston Braves gave Beantown baseball fans an alternative to the Red Sox, and this fine lot commemorates those last few years of National League baseball in New England. There are three team-signed official National League (Frick) baseballs and one is stamped. Also included is a 1944 ball with 20 signatures including Tommy Holmes. There's a 1946 ball with 24 autographs including: Spahn, Sain, Holmes, Southworth and Hopp, and the signature quality is superb. There is a stamped 1948 baseball, as well as a 1950 ball boasting 26 autographs including Spahn, Sain, Holmes, Southworth and Jethroe, with the inscription: "To Johnny with best wishes" on the sweet spot.
