Boston Red Sox Equipment Trunk Used From 1910's-1940's

Boston Red Sox Equipment Trunk Used From 1910's-1940's

The Red Sox have now won three World Series the past decade, but prior to 2004, one would need a time machine back to the early 1900s to find a similar stretch of Sox success. Back in the teens of last century, Boston traveled with numerous trunks such as this extraordinary red one with white paint that measures 32.5" x 28" x 28.5". Inside are compartments for individual player uniforms and gloves that would be stacked inside for transport. Several have their final labels and include fan favorites Moe Berg and Jimmie Foxx. The classic chest was built for durability and functionality. The top simply reads: "RED SOX" while the sides blare: "RED SOX 4" in block letters. The locks still fasten but the leather straps on the side have eroded over the years. Upon opening the trunk, it emits a strong smell of cedar and century-old sweat that is not to be believed. There is chipped paint and numerous marks from all the passage, but those only add to the its eternal charm. Slap a sheet of glass on top, and this baby would make an unbelievable coffee table! In short, this chest is a genuine treasure!
