Bowie Kuhn 100th Anniversary of Baseball Presentation Career Award
This absolutely amazing award presented to Bowie Kuhn on the occasion of the Baseball Centennial. Dated January 14, 1970, this "Adirondack Big Stick Award" is one of only two known to exist (the other was Joe Torre). Most incredible is that there are three Bowie Kuhn "game bats" used to create a marvelous trio that is as great as sculpture as it is as memorabilia. Furthermore, these Bowie Kuhn bats are rarities unto themselves and as such incredibly valuable to bat collectors. Signage is all brass, base is a heavy wood home plate. Stands a regal 35" tall, bats are 33" in length. This is an amazing piece with brass plaque reading, "Presented to Bowie K. Kuhn Commissioner of Baseball For His Contribution and Meritorious Service To The Game of Baseball In Its 100th Year January 14, 1970." In EX condition.
